Which BORA hob is right for your kitchen?

Start with the space you have and the way you cook. A model name comes later: first decide on the layout, cooking surface and extraction route.

Compact or modular?

Compact systems combine the cooking zones and extractor in one appliance. The Pure family offers different widths and cooking-zone arrangements. Modular Classic 2.0 and Professional 3.0 systems let you select the individual cooktops around the extractor; Professional uses control knobs, while Classic uses touch controls.

For a replacement kitchen, take the existing cabinet and worktop measurements to your designer. For a new kitchen, choose the appliance and cabinet layout together before the worktop is made.

The Pure family at a glance

Broad comparison of BORA compact hob ranges
RangeAppliance widthA useful starting point
S Pure580 mmWhen a compact footprint matters.
Pure760 mmFor a conventional induction-zone layout.
M Pure760 mmFor a mix of induction and surface-induction zones.
X Pure830 mmFor a wider surface-induction cooking area.

Appliance width is not the required cabinet width or worktop cut-out. Features and installation dimensions depend on the exact model code and generation. Check its current instructions with your installer.

Three questions before you choose

  1. What do you cook with? Think about the pans you regularly use together, including large roasters. Ask to compare the cooking-zone layout, rather than just the overall hob width.
  2. How will extraction fit? Discuss the route for ducting or recirculated air and the space needed inside the cabinet. Choose the correct version and components together.
  3. What is included in your project? Bring the appliance, cabinetry, worktop and installation requirements into one conversation. Installation is quoted separately by the showroom.
